Meaning of "take the piss" in the English dictionary
Taking the piss is a Commonwealth informal term meaning to mock at the expense of others, or to be joking, without the element of offence. Compare with the American "fuck with. Taking the Mickey Mickey Bliss, Cockney rhyming slang , taking the Mick or taking the Michael is another term for making fun of someone. The term sometimes refers to a form of mockery in which the mocker exaggerates the other person's characteristics; pretending to take on his or her attitudes, etc.
